Women's Golf Concludes Fall Season

KETTERING, Ohio - Senior Abbey Waltke fired a second round 83 to help the Mastodons to an eighth place finish in the 2008 University of Dayton Fall Invite Tuesday at the challenging NCR South Course.
Waltke finished the invite tied for 11th place with a two day 88-83 (171). Jillian Speece finished tied for 19th with an 86-87 (173) while her older sister finished tied for 39th with a 90-93 (183). Nikki LeRose finished tied for 43rd place with a 94-90 (184) while Stephanie Hoppes shot a 96-97 (193).
IPFW finished in eighth out of 10 teams with a team score of 711. The 'Dons were one stroke from seventh place and 10 strokes from a top five finish. The University of Toledo took home team honors with two girls finishing tied for second with a two day 158. Toledo shot a 652. Individual honors went to Eastern Illinois' Katie Imburgia with a two day 157. The best round for the tournament (76) was fired by Toledo's Erica Rivard.
The South Course played at a challenging par of 74 and stretched to over 6,150 yards on the site for the 2005 US Senior Open.
That concludes the Mastodons fall schedule. IPFW will swing back into action in the spring semester.
