
Lewis-Carlisle Scores 26 in Loss at Oakland

Rochester, MI - Oakland used a huge rebounding edge and double-digit scoring from five players to top IPFW, 79-64 on Saturday afternoon at the O'Rena.
The Golden Grizzlies outrebounded the Mastodons, 52-27 in the contest with 17 of those boards coming on the offensive end.
Oakland never trailed in this one and opened up an early nine point lead on a layup by sophomore guard Melissa Jeltema.
The Griz' increased the advantage to, 28-16 on another bucket inside by senior forward Charlese Greer.
Oakland kept that cushion throughout most of the first half, but on a triple by senior guard Johnna Lewis-Carlisle, the Mastodons cut the half time deficit to 40-31.
IPFW got as close as seven in the second half, on a triple from freshman guard Sarah Huluska, but the Golden Grizzlies, hitting on 47% of their shots from the floor, were able to pull away for the 15 point win.
Lewis Carlisle led the Mastodons with a game-high 26 points. She also pulled down six rebounds.
IPFW freshman guard Jordan Zuppe hit four 3-pointers to finish with 14 points.
Jeltemea was team-high for Oakland with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Junior guard April Kidd also posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
With the win, Oakland improves to 15-9, 8-6 in The Summit League.
IPFW falls to 10-15, 7-7 in conference play.
The Mastodons will return to action a week from tonight, hosting Western Illinois at 1:00 p.m. at the Memorial Coliseum.
