Fort Wayne, IN -- IPFW secured its second win of the year and second in a row in commanding fashion Tuesday night shutting out visiting Urbana 4-0 at The Hefner Soccer Complex.
The Mastodons controlled the pace from the first whistle as they out shot the Blue Knights 27-6 in the win. IPFW's Raphael Martinez scored a goal in the 8th minute, his second of the season, giving the 'Dons the lead going into halftime. Martinez was assisted by senior Aaron Tulloch as he passed it from a free kick following a foul.

In the second half, things got offensive for the Mastodons. IPFW netted three goals in under a five minute stretch building the lead and pushing the match out of reach for the Blue Knights.
In the 64th minute, freshman Max Touloute received a cross assist from Aaron Tulloch and headed in a ball from seven yards out making the score 2-0. 34 seconds later Touloute found Jorge Ramirez in stride as he beat the keeper scoring near the right post.
Finally, just into the 69th minute, Liridon Qafleshi scored unassisted off a free kick making the score 4-0 and putting the exclamation point on the victory for the Mastodons.
IPFW finished the match out shooting Urbana 27-6, taking more shots on goal with a 13-4 advantage.
Jordan Herrera took two shots and two shots on goal for the Blue Knights in the contest.
Mastodon senior Michael Knitter garnered four saves in the shut-out victory while Urbana's starting keeper kept six saves.
Eleven players took shots for the Mastodons Tuesday night, including Ramirez and Touloute with five, Qafleshi with four, Colin Helmrich with three, Martinez, Ben Haifley, and Britton Falkenstern with two, and Chris Dolinski, Tulloch, Kevin Crombie and Todd Mizicko all took one shot respectively.
The back-to-back wins are a first for IPFW since October 11-14, 2005 when they won at Cleveland State and against Wright State.
Next up for the Mastodons is a three match road trip starting Saturday, September 28 at Summit League foe UMKC. First whistle is set for 2 p.m. ET.
