
'Dons Lose to 'Roos in First Conference Road Match

Kansas City, MO -- The IPFW men's soccer team traveled to University of Missouri-Kansas City Saturday to open the road portion of its Summit League schedule. The Kangaroos shut-out the Mastodons 4-0.
Britton Falkenstern and Raphael Martinez both took one shot and had one shot on goal for the 'Dons. Also taking shots for IPFW were Max Touloute, Cory Keitz, and Liridon Qafleshi took two shots, and Jorge Ramirez with one.
The 'Dons had just came off back-to-back wins but couldn't continue the momentum.
Four different players scored for UMKC. Brian Harris, Garrett Guthrie, John Bayron Sosa, and Sean Butler all netted goals for the 'Roos.
IPFW keeper Michael Knitter tallied two saves in the contest.
Next up for the 'Dons is a Friday night showdown at Centenary Oct. 3. Match time is set for 8 p.m.
