'Dons in Fourth at IPFW Fall Classic

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW women's golf team started off their Fall Classic Monday and are in fourth place after the first 18 holes. The two-day tournament is being hosted by the Chestnut Hills Golf Club, par 72, yardage 6,075.
Leading the way for the Mastodons is senior Jacque Speece who posted an 80 placing her tied for 10th. IPFW's Alison Rathsman, Nikki LeRose, and Abbey Waltke are all tied for 15th with an 18 hole score of 82. Tied for 25th for the Mastodons is Jillian Speece with 84. Playing individually for IPFW were Stephanie Hoppes (89) and Tosha Embry (100).
The low score for day one was carded by Chicago State's Meghan Olsen with a 75. Butler University holds first place in the tournament with a team score of 306. Dayton and Chicago State are neck-and-neck with 318 and 319 respectively while SIU-Edwardsville and Wisconsin-Green Bay are in 5th and 6th with 330 and 350 respectively.
The two-day tournament continues tomorrow at 8 a.m. at Chestnut Hills Golf Club.
