IPFW Stumbles Against Bowling Green

Fort Wayne, IN- Despite 12 shots from IPFW, the Bowling Green Falcons defeat the Mastodons 4-0, Friday night at Hefner Field. IPFW now moves to 0-4 on the season.
The ‘Dons put up a good fight all evening, and received shots on goal from Heather Currie, Tara O’Toole, Kateri Till and Brittany Climmons.
The game was scoreless until the 30 minute mark when Bowling Green’s Alyssa Zuccaro scored off a middle pass from Leah Johnson, to make the score 1-0. Seven minutes later, Bowling Green scored off a header from Stacy Lucas to make the score 2-0. At the 70th minute, an IPFW player made an errant backwards passes to its goal and scored for the Falcons, making the score 3-0. Bowling Green received its final goal with five minutes left in the contest from Gina Rossi, to end the game at 4-0. IPFW goalkeeper Meagan McLaughlin blocked eight of the 12 shots on goal.
Next up for the ‘Dons is a road game this Sunday against Butler. Match time is set for 3 p.m.
