IPFW Begins Season at Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- The men's golf team opened their fall schedule at Bowling Green for the John Piper Intercollegiate Invitational, held at the Stone Ridge Golf Club. The Mastodons currently sit in 11th place with 18 holes remaining in the two-day event.
Patrick Kelley is currently tied for 17th with a 149, five over par.
Jacob Bailey fired a pair of 76s, to sit at 152, good enough eight over par, and is tied for 23rd. Tyler Haire is tied with two other golfers for 41st after shooting a 155. Ryan Olbin is tied for 54th after managing a 158, and Johnny McMillen carded a 165 and stands in 70th place.
Jon Balyeat competed as an indivdual for the 'Dons and is tied for 57th after firing a 160.
Bowling Green junior Matt Schneider and Ohio freshman John Mlynarski are tied for the lead after firing a 36-hole total of 140. Bowling Green(586) leads Ohio(587) for the team title by one stroke heading into tomorrow. IPFW finished with a 615 total to end the first day of play.
The second round tees off at 8:30 a.m. E.T. on Tuesday.
