Women's Golf Swings Into Action at APSU Intercollegiate

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Led by senior Nikki LeRose's 88, IPFW currently sits in 16th place at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, held at the Clarksville Country Club.
LeRose fired identical 44s on the front and back nines. She is currently in a tie for 65th place. Freshman Alyssa Turney followed LeRose, as she posted a 95 on the 5,960 yard, par 72 course.
Jillian Joyce put up scores of 48 and 49 as her opening round total of 97 checked her in third in the IPFW line-up. Tosha Embry shot a 99 and Breanna Hatter carded a 103 to round out the IPFW scoring.
Murray State's Andrea Downer and Morehead State's Marisa Kamelgarn share the overall lead after round one knotted at 3 (75).
Morehead State leads the team race as well, with all five of their players in the Top 25.
Second round action of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate continues tomorrow at Clarksville Country Club.
