
Mastodons Continue Winning Streak

The IPFW women’s tennis team won their fifth straight match on Saturday after swinging past Robert Morris, 7-0. The win moves the Mastodons to 11-2 this spring.
IPFW won every singles and doubles match in impressive fashion, with not one ‘Don dropping a set along the way.
Sophomore Amy Recht continued her winning ways this season by blanking Kali Delorie (RMU) 6-0, 6-0. With the shut-out win, Recht improved her spring record to 12-1.
A notable performance from Saturday came from junior Alexa Rang, who made her 2009 spring debate against Robert Morris. The junior came out firing on all cylinders, and went on to defeat Gwen Dalphon (RMU) 6-3, 6-1. The win puts Rang at 1-0 this spring.
The women’s tennis team will strive for a sixth straight win Sunday afternoon as they travel to Akron, Ohio, to take on the Zips. Match time is set for 10:00 am.
