HUNTLEY, Ill. - IPFW's women's golf team finished in 11th place at the Huskie Classic on Tuesday in Huntley, Illinois.
The Mastodons completed the par 72, 5896 yard Whisper Creek Golf Club after posting a two day, 36 hole total of 675 (344-331).
IPFW was one shot behind University of South Dakota for eighth place. Brown University claimed the team title with a score of 611, while first day leader and tournament-host Northern Illinois finished in second place after finishing with a 614.
IPFW was led by sophomore Alyssa Turney throughout the tournament. Turney fired rounds of 79 and 81 to tie for 27th place with a 16-over 160 total.
Maggie Talbert, a freshman, finished second for the Mastodons and tied for 57th overall. Talbert improved three strokes from round one to shoot an 84 during the second round for an 171 total.
Two 'Dons tied for 59th place with a 172 total. Freshman Taylor Lamphier and sophomore Breanna Hatter each posted rounds of 89 and 83. Freshman Meredith Holt finished in 73rd place overall with a 36-hole total of 192 (93-99).
The Mastodons will return to action in two weeks when they travel to Memphis, Tennessee for the Memphis Women's Invitational (Oct. 25-26), which will close out the fall season for the 'Dons.
