Mastodons Sit in 15th Place at adidas Indiana Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - After 36 holes of play, the IPFW men's golf team sits in 15th place in the field of 19 teams at the adidas Indiana Invitational. Drew Imel led the way for the 'Dons with a 149.
IPFW fired a two-round total of 621. The squad is seven stroke backs of St. Bonaventure University and three strokes up on Brown University. Tournament-host Indiana University is the overall leader with a 578.
Imel fired two rounds in the 70s on Saturday, starting with a 76 in round one, followed by a two-over 73 in round two. The freshman sits in for 28th place.
Bruno Carvalho is tied for 53rd place with a 154. Jon Balyeat fired a 156 over two rounds, good enough for a tie for 59th place position. Jacob Bailey is tied for 88th place with a 162 and Curtis Coverstone shot a 165, placing 94th.
The Mastodons will look to move up the leaderboard on Easter Sunday. First tee time is set for 8:30 a.m.
