FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodons travel north to East Lansing, Mich., to face off against the Spartans of Michigan State University in a 7 p.m. tip-off tonight.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
Michigan State comes into the game with an even 1-1 record, and have four players averaging double-figure points.
Leading MSU in scoring is Porsche Poole who puts up 15.0 points per game for the balanced offensive attack, while Jasmin Hines, Becca Mills, and Lykendra Johnson average 13.0, 12.0, and 11.0 points per game, respectively.
Mills pulls down 9.0 rebounds per game to lead the team, as Kelsey Smith averages 8.0. Poole and Jasmine Thomas have nine and eight assists apiece, as Poole leads the team with six steals.
LAST TIME OUT
A career-high 21 points from sophomore Erin Murphy was overshadowed by a strong Youngstown State offensive showing, as the Penguins came out firing in the first half and never looked back, outlasting IPFW 91-81 at the Gates Center in Fort Wayne, Ind. on Sunday.
Murphy's 21 points led the Mastodons, while Amanda Hyde finished with 15 and Anne Boese recorded 12. IPFW went 26-62 from the field (41%), while Youngstown State shot an impressive 51% from the floor (29-56), going 12-20 in the second half alone.
