Mastodons Face Butler in In-State Battle

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodons resume its series with the Butler Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon at the Gates Sports Center. IPFW is fresh off of its first victory over the 2011 season, as the Bulldogs are also coming off of its first win of the season.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Butler comes into Sunday's game with an even 1-1 record, splitting its games at the Hawkeye Challenge in which
the Bulldogs fell to UNLV in the tournament opening round, before topping Harvard in the consolation game 69-68.

The Bulldogs have two players averaging double-figure points, led by Terra Burns' 12.5 points per game, while
Haley Howard averages 10.5. Mandy McDivitt is just off of the double-figure scoring pace at 8.5 points per game.

Burns averages a team-best 6.0 rebounds per game from her guard position, while Amanda Raker has pulled
down an average of 5.5 rebounds per game off of the bench. Hannah Douglas has dished out a team-best five
assists, as three others, Burns, Jenna Cobb, and Devin Brierly, each have four.

LAST TIME OUT
Led by senior Stephanie Rosado's 17 points and six rebounds, the IPFW women's basketball team held off a late
charge from Grace to win 71-54 Thursday evening at the Gates Center.

IPFW wins its first game in the 2011-12 season, moving to 1-3 overall. The Lancers, who were ranked #24
in the latest NAIA national poll, drops to 5-2 this season.

Four Mastodons finished with double-digit point totals, led by Rosado's team-high 17 points. Moore finished
13 points, while Mauk had 11 and Hyde managed 10. Lancer Kiere Gray drained a game-high 18 points in the loss.
The Mastodons never trailed in the contest.
