Women's Basketball to Battle Kangaroos on Homecoming

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodon women's basketball team is set to do battle with the Kangaroos of UMKC on Homecoming at the Memorial Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.

SCOUTING THE KANGAROOS
UMKC comes into Saturday's game coming off of a hard-fought 71-65 overtime loss at Oakland on Thursday.
The team's balanced offensive attack is led by guard Dayon Hall-Jones who averages 17.4 points per game,
while also having dished out 23 assists. LeAndrea Thomas scores 11.8 points per game off of the bench, while Kim
Nezianya averages 10.6. Eilise O'Connor is a point shy of the double-figure plateau at 9.9 points per game while
guard Brianna Eldridge averages 7.1 points and a team-high 8.5 rebounds per game, with 37 of her 31 rebounds
coming on the offensive end.
Thomas has dished out a team-high 25 assists and grabbed a team-leading 25 steals, while Ashli Hill has 16
blocks, an average of two per game.
LAST TIME OUT
Led by Stephanie Rosado's 23 points and 10 rebounds, the IPFW women's basketball team opened conference
play with a 65-63 win over South Dakota Thursday evening at the War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.
The Mastodons are now 3-4 (1-0) overall and 3-2 at home this season. South Dakota falls for the first time
in 2011, dropping to 4-1 (0-1).
Rosado scored a game-high 23 points to lead the 'Dons. Murphy recorded 18 points and four rebounds,
while Boese totaled 12. IPFW shot 50% (24-48) from the field and outrebounded South Dakota 35-29.
QUICK HITTERS
• Senior Anne Boese has climbed into fifth in Summit League history with 246 career three-point baskets made, and trails the all-time conference leader (Brenna Doty of Buffalo) by 16. She is in a neck-in-neck race with South Dakota State senior Jill Young for the career makes record, as Young has 239.
• In addition to climbing near a new Summit League record, Boese is also within near striking distance of the career school record of 250, held by recently graduated Jordan Zuppe. Boese's 246 is currently the second-highest total in school history.
• In other milestone watches, seniors Boese and Stephanie Rosado are climbing towards the 1,000-point plateau, Rosado with 990 career points and Boese with 984.
• The Mastodons have made a three-point basket in 382 consecutive games, the fifth longest active streak in the NCAA
