Fort Wayne, IN - The 4th Annual "Run It Walk It" for Chris Brown 5K, benefitting the Chris Brown Endowed Scholarship Fund, will take place Sunday, Feb. 20 on the campus of IPFW.
Chris Brown, a member of the Mastodon cross country team from 2002-2006, lost his battle with cancer on December 1, 2007. Founded in his memory, the Chris Brown Endowed Scholarship Fund allows current and future IPFW cross country runners the opportunity to compete and excel at the collegiate level.
Registration and check-in for the event begins at Noon in IPFW's Walb Student Union Ballroom. A silent auction, live entertainment by Maria Hill and refreshments will last from Noon until 3 p.m. Start time for the Run/Walk is 2 p.m with a 3 p.m. awards ceremony.
Any donations to the Chris Brown Endowed Scholarship Fund, including the registration fee of $15, are tax-deductible.
