Golden Season - Pink Out

For the last 18 years, the Purdue Fort Wayne athletic department has put on a Pink Out event to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, survivors, and those still battling.
The inaugural Pink Out for the Mastodons came in 2008, when the Mastodon men's and women's basketball teams played a doubleheader that featured a survivor walk at halftime of each game. Since then, Pink Out contests expanded to include other teams as well, with a primary focus on an event in the women's basketball season, stemming from the original iteration in 2008.
Starting in 2025, the Mastodons started to celebrate Pink Week in October, kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At this event, the Mastodons decorate the campus pink along with partners from across Fort Wayne breast cancer research and support networks.
