MIMS, Fla. - The IPFW women's golf team finished in 15th place after posting a two-round total of 755 at Detroit Mercy's Sunshine Spring Classic in Mims, Florida on Saturday.
Sophomore Alyssa Turney lead the Mastodons with a 172 after posting rounds of 88 and 94 to tie for 30th place.
Three Mastodons fell within three strokes of each other to when freshman Maggie Talbert posted a final score of 195 (103-92) to tie for 79 place while freshman Taylor Lamphier finished in 81st place after she shot rounds of 99 and 97 for a 196. Tying for 82nd place was junior Mastodon Tosha Embry who was right behind Lamphier with a total of 197 (94-103).
Sophomore Breanna Hatter rounded up the lineup for the 'Dons when she tied for 89th place in the event after a two-round total of 207.
Lehigh University remained in first place at the end of round two after posting a team total of 658, while Seminole-State, IUPUI, Radford and Indiana State rounded up the top five at the invite.
IPFW will return to action at the Butler Spring Invitational on March 28th and 29th in Avon, Indiana at the Prestwick Country Club.
