ORLANDO, Fla. - The IPFW women's golf team opened up its spring season in a 344-406 loss against Detroit in the Titan Challenge in Orlando, Florida at the Orange Tree Golf Club.

On the 6,310-yard par 72 course, freshman Mastodon Taylor Lamphier claimed the fifth spot after Detroit earned the top four spots. The Homestead alum finished the day with a 94 after her first two rounds.

IPFW sophomore and Fort Wayne native, Alyssa Turney, finished in sixth place after a two-round total of 98.?

The Mastodons return to action on Friday (March 11) when they start play in the Sunshine Spring Classic, which is being held by Detroit in Mims, Florida at the Walkabout Golf and Country Club.
