• Emily Spencer became the first freshman since Fabiana Souza in 2002 to record double figure kill games in their first three contests as a freshman at IPFW, and had the highest kill total in a three-set debut in program history.
• With the late addition of Luiza Gomes to the roster, the Mastodons now have had at least one Brazil native on the squad since 2002, a total of ten consecutive seasons (Fabiana Souza 2002-05; Cynara Martins 2004-07; Patty Azevedo 2006-07; Maya Schlindwein 2007-10; and Gomes).
• Junior libero Tessa McGill has recorded double-figure digs in each of her last 11 games dating back to last season, the 10th longest such streak in program history.
• IPFW assistant coach Jasmine Fullove is the niece of Ball State head coach Steve Shondell, and her younger sister, Jaclyn is a freshman setter on the Cardinal squad. The coaching family continues as two other of Jasmine's uncles are coaches at Purdue, Dave Shondell the head coach and John Shondell an assistant coach.
• The Mastodons were picked to finish third in the preseason Summit League Coaches Poll.
• Tessa McGill needs just 34 digs to become the program's 14th member of the 1,000-dig club, and the first person to accomplish the feat since Rebekah Roehm picked up her 1,000th dig at the end of her senior season in 2009
• IPFW claimed the 2010 Summit League Regular Season title, the first for the Mastodon program in its four seasons in the league. With the title, the Mastodons will be the host for the 2011 championships, to be played November 18 and 19.
• With the team's victory over Milwaukee on August 28, 2010, IPFW head coach Kelley Hartley Hutton became the winningest coach in IPFW women's volleyball history.
