GREEN BAY, Wis. - After the second and final day of the Green Bay Invitational, the Mastodons stayed in ninth place and finished the tournament with a team total of 674 (334-340) at the Green Bay Country Club.
The 'Dons were just four strokes back from eighth place finisher Missouri-St. Louis (670). Butler was team champion after posting a two-round total of 617.
Junior Alyssa Turney led the Mastodons on day two of the invite with a pair of 82's and finished tied for 20th overall while freshman Allison Curtis was two strokes back from Turney after posting a final score of 166 (80-86) and tied for 25h place.
Freshman Ashton Taft carded a 36-hole total of 169 (83-86) to finish tied for 37th place at the 5922-yard par 73 course.
IPFW sophomores Taylor Lamphier and Maggie Talbert both improved their scores from yesterday's first round. Lamphier fired a second-round score of 86 to finish tied for 50th place and a total score of 175 (89-86) while Talbert improved five strokes to finish with 177 (91-86) for 54th place.
Playing as an individual, freshman Sydney Bailey carded a second-round score of 85 to finish with 168 (83-85) and to tie for 30th place.
The Mastodons will return to action September 19-20 at the Chicago-po Classic, which is hosted by Valparaiso at the Course of Aberdeen in Valparaiso, Indiana.
