The third and final set was close at the start as the teams battled to an 11-11 tie. A small 15-13 edge gave IPFW some momentum as the Mavericks tried to regroup with a timeout. The 'Dons improved their lead to 20-17 and another two-point run caused the Mavericks to burn their final timeout of the set.
