OCOEE, Fla. - The IPFW women's golf team opened up the spring season with a fourth-place finish at the Titan Quad Challenge, which was hosted by the Detroit Titans in Ocoee, Fla., at the Forest Lake Golf Course.

The Mastodons finished with a team score of 349 while the Titans finished first out of the four-team field with 319. SIU Edwardsville came in second place with 321 while third-place Creighton finished with a score of 337.

Sophomore Maggie Talbert led the 'Dons in the one-round event after she posted a low round of 84 while junior Alyssa Turney was two strokes behind with an 86.

For the IPFW freshmen trio, Allison Curtis finished the day with an 88 while Sydney Bailey posted a 91 and Ashton Taft rounded-out the lineup with a 98.

Playing as individuals, sophomore Taylor Lamphier shot a 91 and junior Breanna Hatter posted a 97.

The Mastodons will return to action on Friday and Saturday (March 9-10) at the Sunshine Spring Classic in Orlando, Fla., at the Rio Pinar Country Club.
