'Dons Complete Round One of Dolores Black Falcon Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - In a rainy first day of the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, the women's golf team posted a team score of 346 to stand in 11th place after the first 18 holes at the Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio on Saturday.
Summit League foe Oakland leads the 12-team field with 310. University of Indianapolis finished round one with 314 for second place and four strokes ahead of third-place Detroit (318).
Ashton Taft led the Mastodon starting five, carding an 85 to stand in a tie for 45th, while one stroke behind are teammates Maggie Talbert and Alyssa Turney with 86 for a 53rd place tie after round one.
Not far behind the IPFW trio of Taft, Talbert and Turney are the remaining two 'Dons, Sydney Bailey and Allison Curtis. Currently in a tie for 63rd, Bailey shot an 89 while Curtis posted a 90 for 67th place.
Playing as an individual, Meredith Holt had an 18-hole score of 98 for 74th place.
The Mastodons will begin their second and final round tomorrow in a 9 a.m. (EST) shotgun start.
