Women's Golf Ends Regular Season at Dolores Black Falcon Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The IPFW women's golf team carded a team score of 331 on Sunday at the Stone Ridge Golf Club, totaling 677 over the two days at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational for 11th place in the regular season conclusion.
University of Indianapolis moved into first place on the second day for a total score of 626 (314-312) while Oakland finished in second place with 636 (310-326). In third and fourth place was Ohio (320-319-639), Detroit (318-328-646), respectively, while host school Bowling Green tied with Loyola for fifth place with 649 (324-325).
Ashton Taft remained at the top for the Mastodons and improved seven strokes from her first round to finish with 163 (85-78) and a 22nd place tie.
Allison Curtis carded a low 79 in her final round, which improved her 11 strokes from yesterday and moved her up to a 44th place tie with her score of 169.
After posting back-to-back rounds of 86, Maggie Talbert finished in a tie for 49th place, while Alyssa Turney was right behind with 174 (86-88) and a 54th place tie.
Sydney Bailey completed the tournament tied for 69th place with a total score of 181 (89-92).
Playing as an individual, Meredith Holt posted a career low of 90 to finish in 72nd place and a 36-hole total of 188.
The Mastodons will return to action when they head to the Summit League Championship on April 23-24 in Primm, Nev., at the Primm Valley Golf Course.
