IPFW and ESPN Radio Agree to Extension

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – IPFW Athletics, in conjunction with Nelligan Sports Marketing, and WKJG ESPN Radio 1380 have reached a three-year contract on their radio agreement to have all home and away IPFW men's basketball games broadcast live on ESPN 1380.
ESPN 1380 has been IPFW's flagship station since 2004-05, and will continue through the 2014-15 year.
“IPFW is proud to continue our partnership with our flagship station ESPN 1380 and The Federated Media Group of stations,” IPFW Director of Athletics Tommy Bell said. “The broadcast strength that they bring to the greater Northeast Indiana region provides IPFW a platform for our emerging NCAA Division I athletic programs, as well as our growing university.”
Each and every IPFW men's basketball game will be broadcast on the station, as well as the school's weekly coaches show, and other select contests.
“We are excited about continuing our relationship with IPFW and Nelligan Sports Marketing, and look to have another great run,” said Federated Media Market Manager Jim Allgeier. “ESPN 1380 looks forward to covering Mastodon Basketball and IPFW Athletics, while serving as the radio home of Northeast Indiana's NCAA Division I university.
