Women's Golf Sits Seventh at IU Fall Kickoff

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - In the 2012-13 season opener, the IPFW women's golf team sits in seventh place at the 2012 IU Fall Kickoff hosted at the Indiana University Golf Course.
The Mastodons carded a first-day score of 339, one ahead of Valparaiso with 340. Indiana has the top two spots in the field with their "A" and "B" squads carding scores of 298 and 304, respectively. IUPUI sits in third with a 306, while Indiana State (315), Southern Indiana (321), and DePauw (324) all ahead of IPFW and Franklin (350) and Southern Indiana "B" (381) just behind IPFW.
Individually, freshman Brenna Sherwood paces IPFW with a first-round 79, tied for 15th, while Allison Curtis is in a tie for 24th place with an 81. Alyssa Turney (84), Ashton Taft (86), Taylor Lamphier (88), Sydney Bailey (88), and Breanna Hatter (90) round out the Mastodons in the field.
The tournament concludes tomorrow morning, as the teams play the second of two rounds of the Tournament.
