Curtis Leads ‘Dons to Ninth Place at Final Fall Event

Round Two Results
KETTERING, Ohio - The IPFW women's golf team braved through an early morning frost delay to close out their fall season with a ninth place finish at the Dayton Fall Invitational with a two-day score of 321-324-645.
The two-day, 36-hole event was held at NCR Country Club on its par-70, 5,869 yard North Course. Detroit took home the team title with rounds of 306-304-610. Marshall's Rachel Thompson won the individual medalist honors in the 96-player field with scores of 75-72-147.
The 'Dons finish just one shot behind eighth place Valparaiso and one shot ahead of St. Francis (PA). IPFW also bested Summit League and in-state rival IUPUI by four strokes.
Allison Curtis led the Mastodons with a top-10 finish after firing rounds of 80-74-154 to tie for eighth. Her second round score of 74 was the lowest round this season by an IPFW women's golfer and was one shot off her career-low score.
Brenna Sherwood tied her season-low score of 78 in the second round to finish in a tie for 30th with a total score of 82-78-160. Sitting three strokes back in a tie for 40th was Ashton Taft who carded a two-day total of 77-86-163. Sydney Bailey finished tied for 72nd after shooting rounds of 82-88-170 while Taylor Lamphier closed out the scoring for the 'Dons with an 88th place finish and rounds of 91-86-177 for the tournament.
