Women's Golf Stands 16th at Ball State 2013 Preview

ROUND ONE RESULTS
FISHERS, Ind. - After an opening-round 344, the IPFW women's golf squad stands 10 shots out of 13th place in the field at the 2013 Ball State Preview.
IPFW sits two strokes behind Cleveland State (342), nine strokes behind Valparaiso (335), and ten strokes behind Western Illinois (334). Toledo leads the field after the first day with a 304, as Ball State and Eastern Michigan stand second and third with 311 and 314 strokes, respectively.
Allison Curtis led the Mastodons with an 84, tying her for 51st, while Brenna Sherwood finished the opening day a stroke behind, tying for 58th. Ashton Taft ended one stroke behind Sherwood for a tie of 66th place.
Sydney Bailey (83rd) rounded out the opening round as the team's fourth scorer with an 89, as Taylor Lamphier closed out the IPFW five with a 91, tying for 85th. Freshman Candi Keller, playing in her first collegiate match, sits 94th overall after a first-round 102.
The teams return to the course tomorrow morning for the second and final day of the Preview.
