Men's Cross Country Places Sixth at Summit League Championships

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Behind a 35th place finish from Chris Rudolph, the IPFW men's cross country team placed sixth at the 2013 Summit League Championships, hosted by IPFW.
The Mastodons scored 181 points in the championship, while South Dakota State took home the team title with 41 points, one point ahead of South Dakota. IUPUI placed third with 51 points as North Dakota State and Western Illinois scored 85 and 130 points, respectively.
Rudolph's time of 26:54.24 placed the sophomore 35th in the field, while classmate Jordan Holloman took 38th in a time of 27:15.80. John Yandl and Paul Smith finished back-to-back in 43rd and 44th with times of 27:56.28 and 28:04.89, respectively.
Taylor Crowell rounded out the Mastodon scorers in the event by placing 46th in a time of 28:17.89, as Garret Gleckler (47th/28:22.95), Evan Boucher (48th/28:32.25), Randy McComb (49th/28:47.23), and Ryan Curtis (50th/29:04.94) rounded out the Mastodons in the field.
The squad returns to action in two weeks, competing at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional hosted by Wisconsin.
