Women's Golf Sits Tied for Seventh at 2013 Summit Championships

KELLER, Texas - The IPFW Mastodons carded a first-round 345, good enough to tie for seventh place in the field of nine teams at the 2013 Summit League Championships.

IPFW's 345 tied with South Dakota State, while sitting 10 strokes ahead of South Dakota and ninth place. North Dakota State paces the field with a first-round 307, while UMKC sits second at 315. Omaha (322), IUPUI (330), Oakland (336), and Western Illinois (340) sit just ahead of the 'Dons.

Allison Curtis carded a team-best 78, tying for eighth in the field, while Ashton Taft is tied for 17th with an 83. Taylor Lamphier's 89 puts her in a tie for 32nd, with Alyssa Turney rounding out the scoring group of the team with a 95, in 42nd place. Sydney Bailey closes out the Mastodons in the field with an opening-round 100, placing 44th overall.

The Mastodons open the second round at 9 a.m. EST with the opening tee-time of the day with South Dakota State and South Dakota.
