Men's Cross Country Places Sixth at Indiana Intercollegiates

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Behind a tight pack of runners that saw the team's fop five five spots apart, the IPFW Mastodons placed sixth at the Indiana Intercollegiates, hosted by Indiana University.
Indiana won the team title with 25 points, while Purdue (64), Indiana State (72), IUPUI (80), and Evansville (158) finished ahead of the Mastodons.
Leading the way for IPFW was Taylor Crowell, who placed 82nd in a time of 28:16.13, with teammate Randy McComb taking second on the squad in a time of 28:23.47, placing 88th. Freshman John Yandl finished 93rd overall in 28:37.47, while Garret Gleckler finished a fraction of a second behind at 28:37.49.
Chris Rudolph rounded out the top five for IPFW with a time of 28:50.88, placing 104th. Jordan Holloman was the team's sixth finisher in 28:52.65, placing 105th, while Brandon Perry rounded out the Mastodon top seven with a time of 29:32.12, placing 128th overall. Ryan Curtis (142nd/30:07.05) and Evan Boucher (152nd/30:34.44) closed out the nine Mastodons in the field.
The Mastodons return to action on November 4 at the Notre Dame Invitational.
