Jeszenszky Takes Third as 'Dons Finish Runner-Up at Invite

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Led by a third place finish from senior Julie Jeszenszky, the IPFW Mastodons took second at the IPFW Invitational.
The Mastodons finished with 39 team points, just behind IUPUI's 23, and ahead of Ball State (65), and St. Francis (120).
Jeszenszky's time of 22:52.38 put her third, while the trio of Tiffany Rauch (23:15.94), Brittany Beard (23:30.82), and Amaya Ayers (23:41.81) took seventh, eight, and ninth, respectively on the 6,000-meter course.
Rounding out the Mastodon scoring five was senior Rachel Zachar who took to a time of 23:50.40, placing 12th in the field. Emma Manchess placed 16th with a time of 24:05.56 and Kayla Boyes 19th in a time of 24:14.33 to close out the varsity seven.
Kaitlyn Simmons (21st, 24:23.15), Jordan Tomecek (23rd/24:25.19), Andrea Bell (24th, 24:30.50), Rachel Kacer (27th, 24:42.79), McKayla Keating (37th, 27:14.82), Karson Rowe (40th, 27:50.16), Alexa Brown (41st/27:54.30), and Cheryl Morris (44th/29:00.47) also completed the course for the 'Dons as well.
IPFW returns to the course on September 20 when the squad travels to Bloomington, Ind. to compete in the Indiana Intercollegiates hosted by Indiana University.
