Mastodons Tie For Fifth at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The IPFW women's golf team showed it can play consistent, as the Mastodons recorded a team score of 320 for the second straight day at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate. The 'Dons finished the tournament tied for fifth place with a two-day score of 640.
Hosted by Austin Peay at the Clarksville Country Club, the final round was played as a par-71. Belmont took home the team title with a score of 596, seven strokes better than Murray State. Madalyn Everts of Tennessee Tech defeated Mallory Sullivan of Belmont on the third playoff hole, after each finished the tournament tied at 1-over-par 144.
Allison Curtis led the Mastodons with a 36-hole score of 157 to finish in a tie for 21st. Brenna Sherwood and Monica Dorner tied for 26th place after both golfers completed the tournament with scores of 159, respectively. Finishing in a tie for 40th was Ashton Taft after carding a two-day score of 165. Madison Chesnutt rounded out the scoring for the 'Dons, wrapping up her first collegiate tournament in 57th place with a score of 181.
IPFW closes out its fall season at the two-day Dayton Flyer Invitational beginning October 20.
