Women's Golf Finishes Tied For Seventh At Final Fall Event

KETTERING, Ohio - At its final event of the fall season, the IPFW women's golf team tied for seventh with a two-day score of 642 at the Dayton Fall Invitational. The Mastodons moved up one spot from day one to finish tied with SIUE.

Hosted by the University of Dayton at the par-70 NCR Country Club North Course, the tournament was played at 5,872 yards. Butler captured the team title with a 36-hole score of 604. Jenna Peters also of Butler defeated 92 other golfers with a two-day score of 4-over-par 144.

Allison Curtis led IPFW as she tied for 24th place with a score of 158 for the tournament. Brenna Sherwood and Monica Dorner tied for 37th with scores of 161, respectively. Sitting one stroke back in a tie for 40th place was Sydney Bailey. Ashton Taft rounded out the scoring for the Mastodons with a 168 to tie for 65th place.

Playing as individuals for the tournament were Madison Chesnutt and Jenna Kurosky. Chesnutt finished the week in a tie for 74th with a two-day score of 172. Kurosky closed out her first collegiate tournament in a tie for 81st place with a 36-hole score of 177.
