Women's Golf Starts Spring Season With Match Play Tournament

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - The IPFW women's golf team kicks off its 2015 spring season on February 9 at the two-day Women's Mid-American Match Play Challenge. The Mastodons will be seeded seventh and face No. 2 seed Western Michigan in the first match. In the second round, IPFW will face either the winner or loser of the Northern Illinois-Ohio match.

Feb. 10: Tee times will be determines by first/second round results, beginning at 8 a.m. off the No. 1 tee

COMPETING TEAMS
IPFW will compete against seven other teams, all of which hail from the Mid-American Conference. The Mastodons and host Bowling Green will be joined by: Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Akron, Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, and Ohio

THE COURSE
The 18-hole Royal Lakes Course at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club is a private golf course that opened in 2007. Royal Lakes was designed with all skill levels in mind to be forgiving, yet, it is quite challenging for the most skilled players measuring 7,320 yards from the Championship tees.
