
Men's Basketball Returns Home for Battle with Dolphins

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW men's basketball team returns home from a two-game, week-long road trip, in which the Mastodons went 1-1. Facing IPFW will be the Jacksonville Dolphins, who are led by former IPFW head coach Tony Jasick.

SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS
Jacksonville comes into the game with a 1-3 record, most recently a 79-43 loss at North Carolina State.
Against the Wolfpack, Josh Adeyeye was the lone Dolphin in double figures, scoring 15 points including a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. JR Holder and Kori Babineaux each scored eight, Babineaux out of the starting lineup, and Holder's off of the bench. Adeyeye also led the team with six rebounds and two assists in the loss.
For the year, Adeyeye scores 12.3 points per game, while Andris Misters averages 11.3. Babineaux is just off of the double-figure pace at 9.8 points per contest. Adeyeye and Babineaux lead the team with 19 and 18 rebounds, each, as the Dolphins get out-rebounded by an average of 7.7 rebounds per game.
FAMILIAR FACES
When looking on the opposing sideline at the Coliseum, fans will see three familiar faces. The most notable of those is head coach Tony Jasick who is in his first year in that role with the Dolphins. The remaining two faces are those of Jacksonville top assistant Dan Bere and Azeez Ali. Bere spent last season at Butler after eight years as an IPFW assistant coach. Ali, who is also in his first year with the Dolphins, spent three seasons at IPFW.

• According to ESPN.com, IPFW's 9.7 turnovers per game are tied for the 17th fewest in the NCAA this season, along with Hofstra - who beat Jacksonville by 33 earlier this season - and LaSalle.
• IPFW stands as the only team in the Summit League with four players occupying spots in the top-16 in the league scoring race, with Steve Forbes, Isaiah McCray, Mo Evans, and Joe Edwards all marking inside the top 16 overall.
• The state of Indiana is 29-8 this season among its 10 NCAA Division I basketball programs, with nine of the ten sitting with records of .500 or better, including IPFW which is 2-1.
• IPFW battled back but never led against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, just the second time over the last two years in which IPFW has not led in a game.
• IPFW senior guard Isaiah McCray had a career-best effort against SIUE in points (23), rebounds (12), a career-high-tying six assists, while also blocking two shots.
• IPFW used to different double-figure runs in a win over SIUE, a 10-0 run in the first half followed by a 16-0 run in the second half that turned an eight-point deficit into an eight-point advantage.
• The Mastodons used a 19-0 run in the first half of its season-opener against Manchester to pull away for a 74-50 victory at the Gates Sports Center
