Sherwood Medals as Mastodons Claim Title

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - IPFW women's golfer Brenna Sherwood carded a tournament-low 76 in the final round of the Bulldog Florida Invitational to earn individual medalist honors and lead the Mastodons to their first win of the season.
Hosted by Butler University at the par-72 Windsor Parke Golf Club, the course was played at 5,807 yards.
The 'Dons carded a final round score of 336 to conclude the tournament with a two-round score of 659, seven strokes ahead of Chicago State.
Sherwood finished the tournament with a score of 156, two shots better than second place Renata Bucher of Navy. Allison Curtis, Taylor Lamphier, and Ashton Taft all finished the tournament in a tie for 13th with two-day scores of 170. Sydney Bailey rounded out the team scoring for the Mastodons, shooting a 93 for the final round to finish with a 171 for the tournament.
Candi Keller played as an individual and carded a 95 for the round to finish with a 197, tying for 46th place.
IPFW returns to the course on March 30 for the two-day Saluki Invitational.
