Women's Golf Ties For 10th at Saluki Invitational

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The IPFW women's golf team wrapped up the two-day Saluki Invitational, carding a 344 on the final day to finish in a tie for 10th with a tournament total 670.

Hosted by Southern Illinois University at the par-72 Hickory Ridge Golf Course, the course was played at 6,017 yards. The Salukis won the team event by 14 strokes with a two-round score of 617. Kayla Katterhenry of Evansville won the individual medalist honors with a two-day total of 147.

Allison Curtis led the Mastodons in a tie for ninth, carding an 81 in the final round for a two-day score of 156. Sydney Bailey fired a 170 for the tournament to tie for 41st while Brenna Sherwood finished with a score of 172 for the two rounds, tying for 52nd. Taylor Lamphier carded a 175 for the 36 holes, finishing tied for 56th. Ashton Taft rounded out the Mastodon squad in a tie for 72nd, improving by seven strokes on the final day to card a 185 over the two days.

IPFW prepares to host the fifth annual IPFW Spring Invitational, April 6-7 at the Chestnut Hills Golf Club.
