Women's Golf Places 12th at Falcon Invite

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - In its final tournament before the Summit League Championship, the IPFW women's golf team finished 12th at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, shooting a two-day score of 669.
Hosted by Bowling Green State University at the par-72 Stone Ridge Golf Club, the course was played at 5,960 yards. Ball State won the team title with a 36-hole score for 628. Lily Bartell of Bowling Green bested the 90-player field to take home medalist honors, carding a two-day total of 515.
IPFW finished one stroke better than Summit League rival Western Illinois.
Leading the way for the Mastodons was Ashton Taft tying for 21st place and shooting a tournament total 162. Brenna Sherwood finished the weekend in a tie for 49th, carding a two-day score of 167. Sitting two strokes back with a 169 was Allison Curtis who ended the tournament in a tie for 59th. Tying for 65th was Taylor Lamphier who shot a 171. Sydney Bailey wrapped up the scoring for the 'Dons with a 177 to finish tied for 83rd.
IPFW next competes at the three-day Summit League Championship in Keller, Texas beginning on April 21.
