SCOUTING THE COYOTES
South Dakota comes into the game having dropped two of its last three games, with losses to South Dakota State and IUPUI, and a 10-point win at Western Illinois.
In the team's last game, a 68-58 loss at IUPUI, the Jaguars jumped out to a quick 12-2 run, and South Dakota never led in the game.
Tyler Larson was the only Coyote player to reach double figures in the scoring column, as Trey Norris had nine points and Eric Robertson eight. Tre Burnette pulled down a team-best five rebounds, with Norris and Robertson each handing out two assists.
For the year the Coyotes have two scorers averaging in double figures, with a third sitting just off of the pace. Larson leads the team with a 15.1 point per game average, as Brandon Bos puts in 14.5. Casey Kasperbauer is three total points shy of a double-figure scoring average at 9.9.
Larson also leads the team in rebounds (8.0) and assists (3.2), with Burnett pulling down 5.0 rebounds per game for second on the team, and Trey Norris averaging 2.7 assists.
Burnett and Norris are 1-2 on the team in steals, with 28 and 23, respectively, as Robertson leads the team with 14 blocked shots, and James Hunter second with 11.
