Women's Golf Finishes Tied for Tenth

LAKE MARY, Fla. - The IPFW women's golf team closed out the Seminole State Spring Break tournament tied for 10th place with a team score of 676.
Hosted by Seminole State College at the par-72 Timacuan Golf Club, the tournament was played at 6,152 yards. Host Seminole State took home the title by two strokes with a final score of 610. Sydney Legacy also of Seminole State won medalist honors with a two-day score of 148 to sit atop the 77-player field.
The Mastodons finished tied with Niagara and just one stroke back of Detroit.
Ashton Taft paced the 'Dons with a 36-hole score of 165 to finish tied in 26th place. Tied for 35th with a tournament total 167 was Madison Chesnutt. Sydney Bailey closed out the two-day tournament with a score of 171, tying for 43rd. Monica Dorner and Candi Keller finished separated by two strokes with scores of 175 and 177, respectively. Dorner ended the tournament tied for 53rd while Keller tied for 59th.
Jenna Kurosky and Maggie Connelly played as individuals in the tournament. Kurosky shot a 172 for the week to finish tied for 49th place. Connelly came in 74th place carding a 200 over two days.
IPFW takes to the course next for the two-day Saluki Invitational hosted by Southern Illinois beginning March 29.
