After 36 Holes Jenkins Paces Mastodons at Bradley Invite

PEORIA, Ill. - The IPFW men's golf team opened the 54-hole Bradley Invitational with rounds of 319 and 316 to finish the day in eighth place with a total score of 635.

Hosted by Bradley at the par-72 WeaverRidge Golf Club, the course is being played at 7,030 yards. South Dakota leads the field by four strokes carding a 36-hole score of 582. Through the first day of tournament play Lyle Burns of Bradley leads the 46-player field with a 6-under-par 138.

Devin Jenkins carded the lowest round of the day for IPFW, shooting a first-round 1-over-par 73 before capping off the day with a 77 to sit in a tie for 14th with a 150. Carter Dornseif finished the day in 35th place shooting rounds of 82-77 to card a 159. Daniel Shepard is tied for 42nd place after day one with rounds of 83-81-164. Clark Tiller and David Watterson are separated by one stroke with scores of 167 and 168 to finish the afternoon in 44th and 45th place.

The final round of the Bradley Invitational will be a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start.
