Keller Leads Mastodons In Final Round of MSU Invitational

MURRAY, Ky. - The IPFW women's golf team jumped one spot on the final day of the Murray State Invitational to finish in ninth place with a two-day score of 665.

Played at the par-72, 6,017-yard Miller Memorial Golf Course, host Murray State captured the title by 11 strokes over second place Southern Illinois. Brooke Cusamano of Southern Illinois finished atop the 75-player field to take home medalist honors with a 4-over-par 148.

Candi Keller led the Mastodons with a final-round 76, finishing the tournament with a two-day score of 161 to tie for 26th place. Sitting one stroke back in a tie for 35th was Brenna Sherwood. Madison Chesnutt closed out the tournament with a 36-hole score of 167 to finish tied for 55th. Coming in tied for 68th with a combined score of 178 was Monica Dorner. Closing out her first collegiate tournament, Paige Bird carded a 179 to place 71st overall.

IPFW returns to the course for the Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State September 21-22.
