Mastodons Finish Ninth at Final Fall Tournament

KETTERING, Ohio - The Fort Wayne women's golf team wrapped up its fall season with a ninth place finish at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, carding a 318 on the final day to conclude the tournament with a two-day score of 642.
Hosted by Dayton at the par-70 NCR Country Club - North Course, the tournament was played at 5,872 yards. Findlay claimed the team title with a 36-hole score of 589. Shelby Warner also of Findlay captured the individual medalist honors with a score of 1-over-par 141.
Fort Wayne finished one stroke back of eighth place Northern Kentucky. Madison Chesnutt carded a team-low 78 on the final day to finish tied for 28th with a score of 158.
Paige Bird and Monica Dorner tied for 43rd with two-day scores of 161. Jenna Kurosky ended the week in 62nd place after shooting a 167. One shot back to round out the team scoring for the 'Dons was Linnzie Richner, tying for 63rd overall.
Individually, Abigail Carlsen carded a 171 for the tournament to finish tied for 69th. Candi Keller tied for 75th with a 36-hole score of 173.
