Fort Wayne’s Sam Williamson Sets 10K School Record

MADISON, Wis. – Freshman Sam Williamson broke the 10K school record for the Fort Wayne men's cross country program at the Great Lakes Regional on Friday (Nov. 11). The University of Wisconsin hosted the event at the Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Course.
Williamson ran a time of 32:42.9 to finish 109th. He broke Ian Wilson's 2004 mark of 33:02.
Logan Kitchen notched a time of 33:10.3, good for 125th. His time stands as the fourth best in school history. Bret Unger was 150th, running the course in 33:42.1. Alex Barton took 170th (34:07.6). Gabe O'Keefe finished 174th with a time of 34:15.2. Robert Peck was 183rd (34:34.0) and Connor Shaffer was 190th (35:07.4).
As a team, the Mastodons took 28th with a score of 728.
Friday's meet concludes the 2016 season for the 'Dons.
