
Dorner Paces Mastodons on Final Day of Match Play

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - The IPFW women's golf team fell to Dayton in its final match of the Women's Mid-American Match Play Challenge, 4-1.
Played at the par-72, 6,068-yard Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club: Royal Lakes Course, the tournament was hosted by Bowling Green.
Monica Dorner picked up the lone victory for the Mastodons, defeating Jenna DiPaolo 2 up. Dorner trailed most of the match before squaring the No. 3 pairing on the 16th hole, and then winning the final two holes to pick up the victory. Candi Keller fell at the No. 2 position to Amalia Emma 4 and 2. Brenna Sherwood, Jenna Kurosky, and Madison Chesnutt all dropped their respective matches 4 and 3.
IPFW will take the rest of the month off before returning to action at the two-day Benbow Invitational beginning March 7 in Jacksonville, Florida.
