Chesnutt Leads Mastodons at Tri-Match

ANDERSON, Ind. - In its final tune-up before the Summit League Championship, the IPFW women's golf team participated in a tri-match with Ball State and Indianapolis, where the Mastodons shot a two-round score of 649.
Hosted by Ball State at the par-72 Anderson Country Club, the course was played at 5,997 yards. Indianapolis finished first with a 36-hole score of 624, Ball State was second with a 643, followed by the 'Dons. Katharina Keilich from Indianapolis took the medalist honors, shooting 151 to win by four strokes.
Leading the way for IPFW was Madison Chesnutt with rounds of 78-79-157 to finish fifth. Ending the day tied for ninth was Jenna Kurosky, shooting 83-79-162. Two shots back in 13th was Brenna Sherwood, carding scores of 85-79-164. Sherwood led the team with four birdies on the day, two in each round. Candi Keller shot scores of 82-86-168 to finish 17th. Paige Bird rounded out the team scoring in 21st place, recording rounds of 83-88-171.
Abigail Carlsen played as an individual, shooting 80-82-162 to finish tied for ninth.
IPFW closes out its season at the Summit League Championship April 18-20 at the Arbor Links Golf Club in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
