
Carlsen Paces IPFW on Day Two of Summit League Championship

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - The IPFW women's golf team improved by 10 strokes on day two of the Summit League Championship, as the Mastodons carded a team score of 324. Through 36 holes, the 'Dons are ninth with a combined score of 658.
Played at the par-72, 6,179-yard Arbor Links Golf Club, Denver remains in first place after shooting a combined 5-under-par 283 on the day and a 578 for the tournament. Jessica Carty of Denver also remains the individual leader with a 36-hole score of 3-under-par 141.
Heading into the final round, IPFW sits 12 shots back of eighth place Omaha.
Madison Chesnutt continued to play well on the front nine, recording par on eight of the holes. Chesnutt finished the second round with a 79, and enters the final day tied for 22nd with a 157. Abigail Carlsen carded a team-low round of 78, including a pair of birdies on the back nine, to finish the day tied for 31st with a 162. Brenna Sherwood and Candi Keller are currently tied for 39th place with a 170, shooting rounds of 83 and 84 for the day, respectively. Jenna Kurosky's round of 89 wrapped up the team scoring for the day, putting her in a tie for 43rd with a 36-hole score of 175.
The final round of the Summit League Championship will begin at 9 a.m. ET on April 20 at the Arbor Links Golf Club.
