Fort Wayne WSOC Drops Match at Wright State 1-0

DAYTON, OHIO - The Fort Wayne women's soccer team fell to the Wright State Raiders 1-0 at Alumni Field on Sunday (Sept. 4). Fort Wayne falls to 2-4-0 and Wright State improves to 2-4-0.
Wright State scored its lone goal in minute 43 when Savannah Carmosino got her first goal of the season.
Chloee Foor had a breakaway opportunity in the 60th minute that almost resulted in a goal, but it was tipped by Wright State keeper Katie Ruff, and slid by the left post. On the subsequent play, another good attempt came as Katrina Sutherly had a shot off a corner kick from Kallianne Mogler, but it was blocked by a wall of Wright State defenders.
Mogler and Paityn Fleming led the Mastodons with three shots each, of which one from Mogler and two from Fleming were on target.
Kiley Dunning was in goal for the Mastodons, logging four saves in 90 minutes.
The Mastodons will be back in action on Friday (Sept. 9) as they travel to west to face off against Valparaiso at 8:30 p.m. Valparaiso enters the match 2-4-0.
