WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Fort Wayne men's golf team finished the first round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in 21st place with a score of 320.

Hosted by William & Mary at the par-70 Kingsmill Resort - River Course, the tournament is being played at 6,778 yards. Louisville holds the team lead after the first day with an even-par 280. Teammates Keegan de Lange and Nicolas Platret from Louisville lead the field by one stroke with rounds of 2-under-par 68.

The Mastodons sit six strokes back of 19th place Delaware and St. Francis (Pa.), and one shot better than Towson.

Zach Schroeder led the 'Dons on the day in a tie for 17th place at 3-over-par 73. Cody White ended the day tied for 89th position with an 80. Devin Jenkins and Daniel Shepard are separated by one shot with rounds of 83 and 84, respectively. Jenkins is tied for 107th while Shepard is tied for 110th.Dan Wert rounds out the team scoring for the first round with an 86 to sit in a tie for 115th.

The second round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate begins at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, March 20.
